Prison Visit - Care Not Custody
Our secretary, Georgina, made a 130 mile 12 hour journey from London to Blundeston Prison in Lowestoft, Suffolk to visit Adrian, a life sentence prisoner as part of a project to raise awareness of the challenges faced by the loved ones of those imprisoned in the UK. Several members of N1 WI's gardening group are part of this local gardening group in Arlington Square
Highgate Cemetery Volunteering
A group of us visited Highgate Cemetery to help clear bindweed, ash seedlings and brambles from among the various gravestones including those of artist Lucien Freud and Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko.
